FORT WAYNE, Indiana (WANE) – Local students helped quell hunger during a two-hour festival at Promenade Park on Saturday.

Indiana Tech’s Office of Student Engagement, in collaboration with the Auer Foundation, hosted a concert and fall festival from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

This event was free, but attendees were invited to bring in non-perishable food items for the Community Harvest Food Bank‘s 2021 CRUSH HUNGER campaign.

The organization officially launches its 7th annual #UCanCrushHunger campaign on October 25. Until Nov. 12, local universities and colleges are holding a “friendly food and fundraising contest,” according to the website. Indiana Tech is getting a head start with today’s event.
