Compass expands to Richmond, Virginia with two teams for a total of 45 agents and a combined 2021 sales volume of $227 million. This will be the largest market Compass has entered in 2022.
Compass on Wednesday announced its expansion into central Virginia with the opening of an office in Richmond, marking the largest market the brokerage has expanded into in 2022.
The expansion, scheduled to officially launch on March 30, will bring more than 40 agents to the new Richmond office, according to Compass.

Joining Compass as founding agent in Richmond will be Jenny Maraghy and her team of 38 who previously worked with Joyner Fine Properties. Will also join the Hensley team of seven led by Annemarie Hensley. The two teams have a combined sales volume of $227 million in 2021, according to BrokerMetrics.

Maraghy said his team believes Compass’ technology offerings will help them better serve their customers. The Jenny Maraghy team was No. 1 in Richmond in 2021 in mega-team sales volume and No. 6 overall in the state of Virginia, according to RealTrends.
