Here is how to verify an Aadhaar number through the UIDAI website

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) recommends individuals to check whether an Aadhaar number presented to them is fake or genuine before accepting it as proof.

The UIDAI warned on Twitter that “not all 12-digit numbers are Aadhaar”.

Click on ‘Continue and verify Aadhaar’.

The UIDAI website will indicate “Aadhaar Verification Completed” confirming its validity. At the same time, the website will display personal information of cardholders, including age, state and hidden cell phone number. If the UIDAI indicates that the Aadhaar number does not exist, resulting in the impossibility of verification, you can visit an Aadhaar registration center for assistance.
