Popular Mexican restaurant known for its nachos opens another location in NJ

Tacoria Mexican Street Kitchen, a popular New Brunswick restaurant, has opened a seventh restaurant.

The company’s newest location is at 1348 Centennial Ave. at Piscataway, co-owner Sean Patel told NJ Advance Media.

The restaurant, which opened on Monday, takes online and delivery orders. On Tuesday, November 2, the restaurant will open from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will also offer catering services.

Tacoria is a quick and casual Mexican restaurant with a menu that includes tacos, burritos, burrito boxes, quesadillas, nachos, salads, and sides such as Mexican street corn, golden avocado (avocado fried) and fries.

“We’re local guys so we know this area and think this area needs something fresher, so we’re bringing a new flavor to Piscataway,” Patel told NJ Advance Media. “We provide a fun and fresh experience with great food, great atmosphere and great service.”

Tacoria was recently named New Jersey’s Best Place to Catch Nachos by the national website EatThis.com.

Prior to that, the food gurus at NJ.com named Tacoria’s Golden Avocado Taco in their list of the best tacos in the state.

“A lot of people think it’s a franchise, but it’s our own concept that we created,” Patel said. “So for us it’s a sense of pride, and I think people can feel that when they come in. “

There are currently six other Tacoria spots: Jersey City, Montclair, Morristown, New Brunswick, Paramus and Princeton. An eighth location in Hoboken is listed as “opening soon” on the company’s website.
