San Angelo Rodeo records record first day of online sales

SAN ANGELO, Texas — The first performance of this year’s San Angelo Rodeo is nearly a month away and record numbers of people are buying tickets for this year’s shows.

When tickets went on sale online at 10 a.m. Monday, rodeo officials said some two thousand people were on the San Angelo Rodeo website to get tickets.

Brittni Kaczyk, senior manager of the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo, said the company that runs the website and sells tickets worked quickly to fix the website’s issues on Monday. She also says they sold a record number of tickets on the first day of online sales.

Currently, only individual seats are available for the PRCA Final, Cinch Chute-Out and X-Treme Bull performances.

Kaczyk said the number of tickets that can be purchased online is limited, and they can only guarantee tickets purchased at sanangelorodeo.com or at the Foster Communication Coliseum box office. The Colosseum ticket office is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday.

San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo staff are asking people to be wary of buying tickets from other websites and to be sure to check that seats exist, as staff have been told several fake tickets are being resold in line.

According to the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo, “Fake tickets can come from unverified websites (ticketsonsale.com, etc.) or even fake Facebook accounts. If you plan to purchase tickets from a reseller, be sure to obtain proof of purchase and verify that the seat you are purchasing actually exists in the Colosseum.

You can find a layout of the Foster Communication Coliseum seating chart on the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo Association website.

ADA or disabled seats are only sold at the Foster Communication Coliseum box office.
