Don’t even think about it! No sooner is Halloween over than some feel the need to put out the Christmas tunes, even with Thanksgiving still three weeks away. A song, in particular, has become a popular target for enemies. Some polls have even considered him to be the the most boring All-time Christmas song. Now one establishment is doing what it can to limit the play of that crappy Christmas song.
A Twitter user took a Photo of a sign posted on a jukebox at an unnamed bar in Dallas recently. Since then, the photo has been shared thousands of times on social media, garnering public support (and maybe even some anger).
“All I Want for Christmas Is You” will be skipped if played before December 1st. After December 1, song is only allowed once per night.
The. It’s only banned until early December, and even then they were kind enough to allow one room per night so they weren’t accused of being real Scrooges. Mariah Carey’s hit has marked every holiday season since its release in 1994. Now, with streaming, the song seems to be played more than ever, which is sure to drive many holiday-weary people crazy.
How about some of the worst Christmas classics of all time you hear every year? Paul McCartney’s Wonderful Christmastime is another buzzing dud that feels like it’s never going to end. Funny how the same man who wrote classics like Helter Skelter, yesterday, whatever, and Hey jude gave us this pile the size of a mountain and loaded with Yuletide s *** keyboard. Dude, what happened?
As most of us know, Christmas music is a bit like eggnog. It can be eaten in limited doses, but too much and it will make you horribly ill. You will never want to be around this again
