At 10:30 a.m. (ET), reporters are invited to review copies of the speech, under embargo, at the Bank‘s head office in Ottawa. Please use the entrance to the Bank of Canada Museum, located at 30 Bank Street (corner of Bank and Wellington). Journalists are requested to bring photo ID and proof of full immunization status.
For security reasons, journalists wishing to attend should confirm their attendance by sending an email to, or calling 613-782-8782, before noon (ET) on Tuesday, December 14, 2021. Those who have not registered will not be admitted to confinement.
Please note that the confinement will be done in compliance with the rules of physical distancing and public health. Consequently, attendance will be limited.
Accredited journalists who do not attend the closed session can also receive the embargoed speech upon request by contacting.
The embargo will be lifted at 12:00 p.m. ET.

At approximately 1:15 p.m. ET, the Governor will be available to answer questions from the media in the Bank of Canada auditorium.
For safety reasons, journalists wishing to attend should confirm their attendance by emailing, or calling 613-782-8782, before noon (ET) on Tuesday, December 14, 2021. Journalists, cameramen and photographers who have not registered will not be admitted to the press conference.
