Stripe Review – Forbes Advisor

Stripe landed on our list of best credit card processing companies because it’s versatile for online businesses looking to get fast, cart-attached merchant services. Its solutions are robust enough to handle recurring transactions and subscription services, giving it an edge over its competitors.

Business owners can take advantage of advanced reporting tools that allow custom reports to be created. They include detailed reports on income, reimbursements, expenses, and receivables, to name a few. As an Interchange Plus provider, merchant fees are transparent and listed on easy-to-read summaries so business owners can better manage their earnings.

While Stripe’s standard payout is two business days, qualified merchants looking to get cash in the bank can take advantage of the Instant Payouts option. This will provide access to capital in as little as 30 minutes after the transaction. Instant payments cost an additional 1% of the payment amount with a minimum fee of $0.50 per transaction.

Stripe does not charge monthly fees for the Services. All of its fees are per transaction with transparent pricing. Expect to pay 2.9% plus $0.30 per transaction for online sales. There is an additional 1% fee for international transactions and currency conversion. For in-person card processing, expect to pay 2.7% plus $0.05 per transaction with the same 1% added for any currency conversion or international card use.
