Target’s first holiday sales are live, but better deals start later this week

Target is getting a head start on its competition with a first round of “best vacation deals” that kicks off Sunday, October 31. We don’t see a ton of great deals so far, but we’ve rounded up a handful of great picks below. Target has its work cut out for it as rivals like Walmart has early sales for Black Friday from Wednesday. For its part, Walmart has done a better job of flagging available deals by detailing upcoming sales on its website.

Here’s how Target plans its sales this year:

  • October 31 (live now): Target’s first bundle of offers will arrive this Sunday (see below for details) and will be available until November 6. They will be available online, in stores, and through Target, Order Pickup, and Drive up same-day services.
  • November 4: The second group of sales will start on the first Thursday in November and will also run through November 6. This includes a better list of offers, some of which are outlined below.
  • Every Sunday: Target will add new vacation deals every Sunday starting October 31.

So what if you buy something today and see it with an extra 20% off in the days to come? Luckily, Target has you covered: the retailer price match its own offers. Target says that if an item’s price drops later during the holiday season, customers’ price will be matched until December 24. Target will also match the prices of certain competitors within 14 days of purchase. (As always, check the disclaimers and disclaimers at the link above.)

Here are the first offers that Target has shared. Looking for more sales? To verify Walmart’s first Black Friday sales from November 3.

We haven’t reviewed this model, but we love that the charging case on these JLab headphones has a built-in USB-A port that unfolds for quick and easy charging. Amazon matched this price as well, but it’s the lowest we’ve seen on this product since the start of the summer.

LOL Surprise Remix Hair Flip dolls hair is the surprise, with up to 15 different hair styles, colors and textures. Since each doll also represents a genre of music, the wrapper plays a tune. We see this sale for closer to $ 21 via third-party retailer Walmart.

We generally prefer the TCL brand for our Roku smart TVs. But this Element model offers the same Roku smart TV interface that brings all your favorite apps into a 55-inch screen with 4K resolution for just $ 300. It’s $ 80 less than the Roku version of equivalent size. You can order this one online, but you’ll need to pick it up in store (at least where we live). The biggest downside? The 65-inch version of this TV is also expected to retail for $ 300 later this week (see below).
