Garage sales and tag sales are back this year after scores of people canceled their plans last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
As the pandemic diminishes, there are currently no state restrictions on crowd size or the requirement to wear a mask and social distancing – although sale organizers may ask attendees to do so.
Some towns in Vermont have community-wide label sales every year. Further neighborhood-wide sales are planned over the coming weeks and months. Some communities held their sales earlier in the spring.
While this probably isn’t an exhaustive list of the label sales, garage sales, and real estate sales happening this summer, here’s an idea of ââwhere to find some great deals in the coming months. .

Barton, Glover and Orléans
When: June 26, 2021, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Or: In all three cities.
What there is to know: The towns organize a garage sale day at the village level. Cards can be found in many local stores. More information can be found at villagewideyardsale.com.
Brandon
When: August 7, 2021, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Or: Citywide
What there is to know: An official sales list will be available online at 6 p.m. the day before the city-wide garage sale day. You can find more information at brandon.org/event/yard-sale-day.
Bridport
When: August 21, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. to August 22, 2021 at 4:00 p.m.
Or: Citywide
What there is to know: There will be outlets around the city of Addison County. More information can be found at bridportvt.org.
Bristol
When: June 26, 2021, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Or: At the scale of the city.

Cavendish
When: July 31, 2021, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Fairlee
When: June 26, 2021, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Or: Municipality of the town of Fairlee.

Jeffersonville
When: June 26 and 27, 2021, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
Or: 2166 Kinsley Road, Jeffersonville

Chicken
When: October 9, 2021. Exact times to come.
Or: At the scale of the city.
What there is to know: The annual sale usually takes place in June, but has been postponed until the fall of this year due to uncertainty surrounding the pandemic. More information will be announced on poultneyareachamber.com.
Saxtons River
When: June 26 and 27, 2021, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
Or: 27 Pleasant Street, Saxtons River.
What there is to know: The sale is advertised as an upscale home move sale. Items to be sold include woodworking equipment and tools; gardening equipment and tools; sport equipment; art and decoration; household and kitchen items; musical instruments and musical scores; Clothing; and building materials. Under the hill
When: June 26, 2021 and August 28, 2021, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Or: Underhill Clutter Barn United Church, 9 Park Street.
What there is to know: The Clutter Barn is a thrift store located in the Gifford building next to the church. There will be several label sales on Saturdays throughout the summer.
